Thanks for the info.

I want to add a very little know fact about the collaboration between AB
and C P Ramaswami Iyer in later years.

C P Ramaswami Iyer and AB worked very closely in many other educational
endeavors. Many knew he was a trustee of the Pachaiyappaâs Trusts, which
managed Pachiayppa Educational institutions and other charitable entities.
By the way, for those who may not know much of the details, Madras now
renamed as Chennai, had four higher educational colleges. One was state
supported and two others - Madras Christian College and Loyola College run
by churches. Pachaiyappaâs was fourth one. It was the only institution
financed and run by local population. It was originally started as a high
school and later developed into a leading college. Some may recall that
when HPB and CWL arrived in Madras, they were given a grand reception in
the Pachaiyappaâs School Hall.

It was at the instance of the AB, land adjacent to the Pachaiyappas College
was bought by the trust and Men and Women Dormitory was built. Very few are
aware of the role of AB in the acquisition and construction of the Dorm and
I happened to find out about it only recently. AB had the uncanny judgement
when it came to purchase of real estate for expansion of educational and
spiritual activities. Expanded Adyar campus as well as the large land
purchases in Krotona took place under ABâs leadership. Indians have not
forgotten her contributions to the Indian Society mainly in the educational
field. By the way, Benares Hindu University which had its beginnings in the
Benares Hindu College started by AB, is now a premier National institution
and has the largest on site student population in Asia.
