There are a lot of issues related to HPB and Theosophy I think/feel are important to clarify and research, religion is, certainly, one of them.

HPB came from Russia, truth is the church in Russia is orthodox and Copic - they have their own Pope, their own lineage AND the whole idea that she'd have agreed to a branch that was not only a competative 'other' a/b hadn't even made peace with the russian house until just a few years ago (the two Popes finally agreeing to try and get along) is, imo, highly suspect.  

She'd have never agreed to that, what's more her family would've given her no end of hassle and grief about such an insult - be esoteric, be unconventional a/b don't go slapping your homeland in the face and expect to get away with it.

Myself, for these reasons and more, I sure don't see her ever being in agreement with such a move.  It is as if noone remembers that HPB was Russian or what that meant during that time.
