Your suggestion is very good. In the USA, there are around 400+ congressmen
elected on proportional basis. Large GC is feasible. It is easy to travel to
India by Air and there is even going to be some non-stop flight from the
USA. So travel is not an excuse for not attending the meeting.
Only countries with a very few members would find their relative importance
reduced temporarily. They can work hard and increase their membership and is
feasible. Talk of the President living in Timbuktoo and remotely
administering is like telling United States that the President can live in
his ranch in Texas and run the administration with the communication
capabilities available. If any presidential candidate in the election now
going on here talks about such a plan, he/she will never get elected. All it
needs is some simple common sense. My 0.02.
