Dear Erica and Anand,
With your proposal we could probably have:
Greece - 140 members - 1 GC member
India - 13,000 members - 92 GC members
Rest - 17,000 members - 121 GC members
Total GC members - 214
Or maybe we could have 1 GC member per every 500 members:
India - 26 members
Australia - 2 members
Brazil - 1 member
Cuba - 1 member
England - 2 members
Italy - 2 members
New Zealand - 2 members
USA - 4 members
Total GC members - 40
And other national sections should accept special demographic
Do you know why former Yugoslavia felt apart? There appeared a
politician who propagated the policy: 1 man 1 vote in federal
republic composed out of 5 units. And, yes, he belonged to the larger
nation in the federation and wanted to impose his views to others.
This is very dangerous game! Be careful! The Theosophical Society is
a society not a corporation!
