Dear Cass
Thank you for your response which is most interesting as I know 
little of Michael Tsarion.
I like your description of the Dalai Lama as a "diamond soul" and he 
has certainly united East and West in many ways.
It also seems likely that without the impact of his personal journeys 
throughout the West since 1973 the enormous amount and profundity of 
Tibetan Buddhist teachings and literature, both Mahayana and 
Vajrayana, would probably not have seen the light of day, at the 
least not for many decades into the future. 
Despite the somewhat rocky start and present state of certain Tibetan 
Buddhist centres in the West, the Dalai Lama's humble and stable 
personage, and his many lectures, have inspired millions of people in 
so many respects and have led to the release of otherwise occult and 
secret teachings with their resultant energies.

It will be interesting to observe the evolution and ongoing effect of 
this particular impetetus. Will it continue to open the hearts and 
minds of humanity or will it fall yet again under the category of 
a "forlorn hope"?
