Re My Drug-free Trance Method

I gotta wonder why in the world
you would go to such extremes? Sounds
to me you are fast on the way to
getting yourself possessed. Your
sanity ain't nothing to mess around
with - people get hurt and destroyed,
and end up in the looney-bin where they
have no choices at all.

    In Blavatsky's writings she gives
some heavy warnings about "spirits" and
the like. 99% of them are things that
it isn't profitable to encounter, and can
be very dangerous. The "spirits" mediums
meet in real life (and Not like the
fictitious "Ghost Whisperer" TV program...)
are usually the empty shells (bhuts,
pisachas, etc.) of what used to be a person.
The higher parts of the person go off
to their proper place, and they leave
an astral "Corpse" behind, which is what
is mis-labelled a "spirit." Drugs will
do inner psychological damage as well
as just damage the "body." Recommendation -
If you want to do experiments with sleep, -
just get a tape-recorder and record your
dreams or something - which can keep anyone
busy for a lifetime. "Extremes" are the
result of a pathological motivation and
get people killed, psychologically or

<9a. My Drug-free Trance Method For Consciousness Expansion

<I recently attended a theosophical service that addressed the

usage of
psychedelic drugs for purposes of consciousness expansion.

the class did not suggest to people that they should use

drugs, it discussed medically licensed experiments with

drugs as practiced upon patients by the

guest speakers. The class was held on December 14th at the

<I personally don't believe in drug usage, because drugs are

to the body, and therefore typically constitute an act against

and oneself. I view natural (drug-free) methods of trance and
meditation as superior to drug usage. Yet I seem to find that

metaphysical thinkers have an unfortunate history of drug usage

their background.

<For example, here is a natural (drug-free) trance method that I

utilized to merge the waking and sleeping states for short time
periods (lasting about a week after training), thereby allowing

me to
have direct dialogues with spirits and also dream while I'm

<Firstly, the average person sleep 8 hours per night and is

awake for
16 hours per day. But I will sometimes split my 8-hour sleep

into two 4-hour sleep blocks, thus sleeping for 4 hours and

for 8 hours, then sleeping another 4 hours and awaking for

another 8
hours, etc. Afterwhich I split the sleep blocks again, thus

for 2 hours and then waking for 4 hours, then sleeping another 2

and awaking for another 4 hours, etc. Then I split it again,

sleeping for 1 hour and awaking for 2 hours, then sleeping

another 1
hour and awaking for 2 hours, etc, etc, etc. Then I split it

and again.

<What effectively happens is a type of merger of the waking and
sleeping states, wherein I am awake and asleep simultaneously

drugs or bad drug side effects necessary). This way, I can

directly with spirits, and dream when I am physically awake. If

should happen to have a bad experience, I just go back to

sleeping in
the more common eight hour blocks. I'm not locked into a bad

experience like some, and the overall effects of my natural

free) method wear off in about a week.
