GOVERNMENTS DO NOT CHANGE
Apr 22, 2006 06:53 AM
Chuck and Friends,
We must abandon the premise that one has to be in a government to change things.
It is by being in governments that people cannot change a thing.
Talk to Radha Burnier and then tell me if she could change a thing in Adyar TS -- if she wanted.
Look at the people of Nepal changing things in Kathmandu right now. Against authorities.
Remember the French people changing things (social policies) one month ago.
Latin American peoples are vaguely thinking of waking up by now.
North American people is starting to discuss what are WARS about, after all.
Governments are status quo.
Peoples can represent the change, as long as the ETHICAL (from "ethos", root of "ethnology", etc.) feeling is really alive.
Even when a government does wise things -- it so happens because some leader is ABLE TO hear TO THE PEOPLE in a proper way.
