In my researches into the author and playwright Sir JM Barrie(Who was a Theosophist) in his book SENTIMENTAL TOMMY is a subtle version contained in the chapter The Hanky School , where the School Misteress, Miss Aillie's garden is her pride and joy had a large fruit tree that was always plundered when the fruit were ripe, she hung a notice which read "Those stealing fruit be mindful and not trample the flowers"
There is more to JMBarrie than Peter Pan.
cheers Iain

"Is that so", growled the Hodja and proceeded to beat him with no pity

upon a saint? Don't you see what you are doing?"
"Nothing wrong," replied the Hodja, "Just hitting the servant of
Allah, with the stick of Allah, under the tree of Allah, to preserve
Allah's garden"
