The privacy guaranteed on the Internet is a very vauable right of everyone
and I am the first to support and defend it. However in cases where
preserving some one's reputation is the subject, the individual concerned
can determine how to address anyone's concern. The difficulty faced is that
once when people have some doubts at issue, lingering doubts tend to stick
and hard to overcome as time passes.
