I've heard this said many times, but never seen the "evidence." There
was a very good investigative article in the Wall Street Journal a year
or two ago that indicated a lot of evidence to the contrary. I think I
kept the article and I'll see if I can find it. What evidence have you

Yes, I know what you mean. We also get cable and have probably seen
everything that has come out at one time or another. Some are quite
good, and it it obvious that they did their homework. Others are less
well done to very sloppy. But what I'm trying to seek out here are the
documents upon which the documentaries base their evidence.
BTW, there is a very worthwhile DVD of McNamara interviews available
now. It's called "The Fog of War." Now 85 years old and still quite
sharp, he goes back and discusses the situations and decisions he made
concerning WWI, the Cuban Crises and the Vietnam war. It is stunning
and thought provoking. --jhe
