John: "Here is a Url for the "Horten" and other designs. These were
probably one of the root sources that contributed to the Mythology
you mentioned."
Unfortunately the link doesn't work but I know this, and yes, the
Horten flying wings is even what started of the American UFO wave. In
fact the drawing Kenneth Arnold ,whose "sighting" started the UFO
wave, made wasn't round but more like the Horten wing design.
Many of the legends also try to bring forrester Schauberger into the
story, but a recent biography that came out in Germany shows on hand
of original documents that the fact he would have build the first
flying saucer is a myth. Although it is true that he was forced to
work for the Nazi's and US interests attempted to get watever
information he had out of him during a visit to the US after the war.
All these story's about German flying devices are ridled with
disinformation, because already the Nazi's at the time they where
loosing the war, urgently needed to short up moral among the German
population that saw their relativs coming back in body bags, so the
German secret service purposely transformed these simple designs that
where made into stories about "powerful secret weapons" that would
make Germany "win" the war, if people would only hold on ! So Hitler
can be seen greeting teen age boys encouraging them to defend Berlin
from the allied forches that where closing in on the city.
The same tactic of the German secret service during the war has been
continued by some of the same people afther the war, now becoming
the "neo" nazi movement that also urgently deeded strengthening of
their moral.
The reason Germany was interested in a saucer form design has
notting to do with "outher space" by the way, but is because they
hoped they could take off without runways. Months of around-the-clock
bombing by the allies had reduced German runways to rubble. The Third
Reich's only hope of using their jet-engine propulsion system atoll
would be to install it in a vertical-takeoff-and-landing aircraft.
And is probably what Etzionis reffering to with : "What I remember
from Memory, is that after the collapse of Germany, the Americans
found in an air strip a flying object, which looked spherical, like a
saucer, with jet propelled engines. It was presumably one of the
first testing models for a jet aircaraft."
Allied intelligence had heard of this German intelligence propaganda
and where of course curious to find out what it was all about, so
they looked for the two Horten brothers. Trained as pilots and
engineers, they had close connections to the Reich's high command.
The information provided to Army intelligence said they were believed
to have persuaded German leaders to construct a fleet of saucer-
shaped bombers. U.S. military historians acknowledge that the Horten
brothers built and flew prototypes of circular and flying-wing
aircraft.
But they dismiss these craft as aeronautical curiosities with no
military value. However the Roswell crash and the Kenneth Arnold
sighting show the US did experiment with it and tried to develop it
further.
But this is of course a far cry of what the neo nazi's are claiming.
In fact the japanese had also started to build a flying device, but
this was a suicide-piloted version of the Fugo incendiary bomb.
During the Second World War, the Japanese launched these unmanned
high-altitude balloons in the hope that they would land in the
Pacific Northwest, explode, ignite forest fires and thereby deprive
the war effort of needed lumber. The effort was an obvious failure,
except that the Roswell (ofthen also claimed to be a balloon) crash
item was a cross between the Horten wing and a Fugo.
And reg. Frank Reitemeyer:"George Adamski who in the early 1950's
said that the UFO inhabitants with whom he will have talked, spoke
German."(http://groups.yahoo.com/group/theos-talk/message/3718)
J.Vallee gives an important clue about the occult-Nazi connection
to UFOs on pp. 192 & 193 of "Messengers of Deception "(Berkeley:
And/Or Press, 1979)...contactee George Adamski (from the Royal Order
of Tibet) had prewar connections with American fascist leader William
Dudley Pelly who was also a promoter of the Master myth.
Another famed contactee, George Van Tassel, was associated with
Pelley and with the Reverend Wesley Swift founder of the group which
metamorphosed into the Aryan nations.
Ernst Zundel then started to use the Nazi-UFO survival myth that
first only circulated within neo-Nazi occult secret societys, more
publicly.
In fact it started with the 1971's Gotzen gegen Thule (Godlets
Against Thule), by Wilhelm Landig. It involves a was between the
Thulean/Aryan from the North, who derive their power from the "Black
Sun" which supposedly exists in the center of the Earth, and
the "Hebrew magicians" who derive their power from the Ark of the
Covenant and the godlet (Yahweh) who lives inside of it, and whose
conspiracy is being orchestrated by Freemasons. The Thuleans
consider themselves to be inheritors of the Cathar tradition, and fly
around in Vril-powered aircraft. Their war with the Hebrews in a
continuation of the inner Earth battle going on between the City of
Schamballah, ruled by the King of Fear, and Agartha, ruled by the
Lord of the World.
Then, says Landig, the blue and gold banner of the Aryans will fly
again, and the Black Sun of their nigredo will turn to silver.
Savitri Devi a Theosophist was then rediscovered by Ernst Zundel, and
went on to become a popular figure among neo-nazis worldwide. Savitri
Devi whose book was published by the Adyar TS , promoted the belief
that Hitler was an avatar.
