Steve: I have not time to read the book, but if you are
quoting it accurately Hartmann is making an astute
observation about human nature, and not condemning
HPB.

Yes, correct. Hartmann was a faithfull Theosohist till the end of his
life but die kept his own special view in regards to the Master that
is different from the ortodox Theosophical view. He thereby also
started his own TS group that continued this de-mythified attitude
towrds the Masters. In Hartmans view Blavatsky the talking image was
some sort of medium, but similar to Johnson Hartmann defenitly also
agnkowledged that there where indeed olso other living assistants
involved, maybe Ramishwar, Damodar, the Maharajah's Paul discoverred
and so on.

but then istead of staying with that Hartmann went to Vienna and
there found the indudtrialist Kellner as a new teacher for a while,
wich he described in the conclusian I send a few days ago.
